Submit a deletion request
- Email from the address associated with your Aura account.
- Use the subject “Aura account deletion request.”
- Do not send a password, government identifier, or sensitive document.
What the request covers
After identity verification, a deletion request removes the account and personal data associated with it, including profile data, social connections, messages and media the service is permitted to delete, event participation, location-sharing settings, notification preferences, and server-side session identifiers.
Active account and owner-indexed records are deleted or queued for deletion when the request is verified. ParathoughtLabs targets completion within 30 calendar days. Deleted DynamoDB recovery points roll out within 35 days, and deleted media versions expire within 90 days in production. Narrow records may be isolated and retained for the published safety period when required for fraud prevention, safety reports, disputes, or law.
Shared content
Aura removes user-owned messages and media as part of account deletion. Content another participant independently created, public catalog facts, and records subject to a documented legal or safety hold are not treated as content owned by the deleted account. References to the deleted account are removed or de-identified.
